Last night (early this morning) I set up the Rode K2 out in the backyard. So many cool sounds out there. Wanted to capture some of it. May even use a bit on the upcoming The Potter’s Field record. Anyway, some have asked to hear it, so here it is.

Sounds of late summer….the insects sing the same chorus here in South Jersey…but the train whistle and the wheels on the tracks are “instruments” not heard in my yard. Well, on rainy days when the wind is blowing from the east, I can here the distant train whistle. You will no doubt find joy in hearing this back yard music again come the cold winter. I think this recording will warm your soul some time deep in January when the sky is gray.
